Inexpensive Web Hosting to Run your own Website!

By James Collinsworth

If your products and services are not on the web, you are losing a lot of sales: Millions of potential sales. So as not to be left behind, create your website, now. You can only do this if you have a domain and Inexpensive Web Hosting.

Buying a domain name is quite easy. All you need is a domain registrar to register the URL for you. Domain names are cheap, too. For as low as $10, you can have that much coveted virtual address. However, in the case of web hosting, it is quite hard to find a reliable, professional and inexpensive one.

When looking for an inexpensive web hosting, webmasters and web owners usually go for the list of service provider with the cheapest services. However, this manner of looking for an inexpensive web hosting is wrong. Inexpensive doesn't mean 'the cheapest.'

A web hosting is considered to be inexpensive when its price is low for the features and benefits that the package offers. For instance, web host ABC says that it's cheapest web hosting is at $2 a month, and when you see it, you want to bind yourself for 2 years worth of hosting services without even thinking about it. However, if you will look closely, that $2 hosting may only be for a meager 10MB of web space and without customer support.

On the other hand, web host XYZ offers web hosting for, let's say, $10 a month. If you will compare XYZ's price with ABC's $2 hosting, you can easily spot which is the cheapest. Yet, in terms of features and benefits, XYZ's have full of them, in fact with overflowing features and benefits.

Below are more tips on how to spot an inexpensive web hosting:

1. Look for the asterisk beside the package price. If the price for each package has an asterisk, BEWARE.

An asterisk or any other symbol (such as a plus) right beside the total amount of a package may mean that there's a footnote below the page that you must read. And you must really read it. Sometimes the footnote is merely a disclaimer; however, most of the time, a footnote right beside the total amount corresponds to extra fees. It may mean that there are extra charges for this or that, which will automatically be added into your invoice once you checkout. This marketing tactic is more known to us as "Hidden Charges." This is false advertising and many of us fall for it.

2. The service provider has a good client feedback.

If customers are satisfied, it means that the web hosting company has been meeting their needs and is keeping their promises. And with these, a web host deserves to be tried and tested.

3. Do a test drive.

Don't sign up for a long period of time, say for a year or two. Sign up for a few months only to know if your chosen web host meets your expectations and demands. This way, you'll also know if the web had held true from its promise of 99% uptime.
